Best Vietnam Itinerary 7 Days

Day 1: HA NOI ARRIVAL – CHECK IN – HALF DAY CITY TOUR (-/L) – SIC

Welcome to Hanoi. At its heart is the chaotic Old Quarter, where the narrow streets are roughly arranged by trade. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to the hotel to check in, then relax after a long flight.

Then a guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel to have lunch and start half day city tour with Temple of Literature built in 1070 and regarded as the First University in Vietnam.

To continue, you come to Hoa Lo Prison, as an important role in French colonists in suppressing the antagonist of the colonial system. Visitors can take photos and observe the imprisoned life in the small cells.

At the end of the tour, you will visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, located in West Lake.

Stay overnight in Ha Noi.

Day 2: HA NOI – NINH BINH (HOA LU/TRANG AN) (B/L) – SIC

The trip starts from your hotel lobby for Ninh Binh province, which owns Hoa Lu and TrangAn as the most favorite sightseeing of tourists from all over the world.

Upon arrival Ninh Binh, you will arrive at Hoa Lu Ancient Capital. In 968, Dinh Bo Linh declared himself as the King. Since then, Hoa Lu existed as the capital for the next 41 years (968 – 1009). The visit offers a chance to know more about part of feudal dynasties and historical periods in Vietnamese history.

Then, depart to the most popular attraction to visit in Ninh Binh are the Trang An Grottoes (the World Natural Heritage site). Arriving TrangAn- eco tourism site. In 2 hours, you will be surprised by the beauty of this landscape that seems like Halong Bay on land. The bamboo boat will take you through many amazing caves.

Comback to Ha Noi and relax.

Day 3: HA NOI – HA LONG BAY – ON CRUISE (B/L/D) – SHUTTLE BUS

*Note: Transfer Hanoi - Ha Long – Hanoi by cruise’s suttlebus

After having breakfast, the driver of the cruise team will wait for you and then transfer you to Halong Bay. Then you will proceed to Halong Bay the World Heritage as designated by UNESCO in 1994.

Upon arrival in Halong, you will take a boat to discover the magnificent beauty of this “Descending-dragon” bay, created by thousands odd-shaped limestone rocks and small   island    grottoes. After a lunch of fresh seafood on board, we can visit the Surprising Grotto, stop for swimming or kayaking, floating villages, and approach small islands to enjoy their beauty. Back to the boat for dinner. Evening attend activities on the boat or relax at your own leisure. 

Overnight on board.

Day 4: HA LONG – HA NOI – HO CHI MINH (B/BR) – NO GUIDE

You should wake up early to enjoy the dawn on the sea in the early morning. The Vietnamese call the "East Sea" by a point-oriented name "Eastern Sea", so you may guess how miraculous seeing the sunrise over the islets of the Bay.

 After breakfast our boat will continue to cruise in marvelous areas, where almost each islet has its own name, adopting its shape or reminiscent like Sail Island, Fisherman’s head rock, Butterfly rock or Turtle islet etc.   Check out your room and have brunch on board while the cruise is coming back to the pier. Disembark from the cruise.

Transfer back to Hanoi and after a short relaxation, you will transfer to the airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh.

Upon arrival in Ho Chi Minh, you will be transferred to the hotel to check in, then relax after a flight.

Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

Day 5: HO CHI MINH – CU CHI TUNNELS – HALF DAY CITY TOUR (B/L) – SIC

PICK UP: 07:30 – 08:00 (the time of pick up depends on customer’s hotel/ accommodation’s exact position).

RETURN: 19:30

ROUTE: HCM City – Cu Chi   

Take the morning trip to visit Independence Palace, also known at the Reunification palace, was built on the sight of the former Norodom palace. The Independence palace is a widely known landmark of Ho Chi Minh City and was designed by the architect Ngo Viet Thu. Continue seeing the beautiful structures from the French Colonial times such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office. Followed by the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum the museum has a vast display of the both the Indochina wars.

Have lunch at local restaurant.

Depart for Cu Chi tunnel, the trip will take approximately one and a half hours bus driving. Upon arrival, before exploring the tunnels, you will have some short introduction followed by introductory video about how the tunnels were constructed and how the people survived in the harsh conditions of the war time. Then, spend your time to explore the remaining area and tunnel systems which included the special constructed living areas with kitchens, bedrooms side by side with other martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers helping whoever lives inside the tunnels meet their basic needs. Besides, there are also many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for security purpose during the war. Afterward, special tea and cassava (guerilla’s food during the war) will be served.

Break time for relax or time for those who want to try the real shooting gun.

Return to Saigon. End trip.

Day 6: HO CHI MINH – MEKONG DELTA FULL DAY (B/L) – SIC

PICK UP:                    07:30 – 08:00 (the time of pick up depends on customer’s hotel/ accommodation’s exact position).

RETURN:                   17:30pm

ROUTE:                      HCMC – My Tho - Ben Tre – HCMC

Leaving the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City and start your trip to depart for My Tho, the town lies on the left side of the Mekong River. Upon arrival, visit Vinh Trang pagoda which sated back to the late 19th century. Then  boarding the sampan and cruising down the river around the four beautiful islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise islands.

Stop over at Unicorn Island, go walking around country lane and seeing orchards, enjoy tropical fruits, folk song music which performed by the local people. Visit the fruit plantation. 

Riding a hand-rowed sampan through Thoi Son canal and treat yourself in the beauty of the countryside, visit the family business, visit honey-bee farm, enjoy honey tea and coconut candy workshop. 

Have lunch at local restaurant. Break time.

In the afternoon, time for cycling around the Tan Thach village, meet the local villagers to experience the local daily life in the Mekong delta. Hammock relaxing and enjoy cool breeze for those can’t join the cycling trip. Return to Ho Chi Minh City. End trip.

Day 7: HO CHI MINH – DEPARTURE (B) – NO GUIDE
